Borsa İstanbul and ÇAKÜ Cooperation

A delegation from Çankırı Karatekin University (ÇAKÜ) met with Prof. Dr. Erişah Arıcan, Borsa İstanbul Chairperson and Korkmaz Ergun, General Manager,  to discuss potential areas of cooperation in the financial sector, with a particular focus on capital markets. The meeting covered the university's newly established Stock Exchange Application and Finance Simulation Laboratory (BISTLAB), sector-focused training opportunities for students, and financial literacy project.

Sector-Focused Training Opportunities for Students

As part of the cooperation, ÇAKÜ students are expected to take part in specialized training programs at Borsa İstanbul, gaining first-hand experience in the capital markets and strengthening their academic knowledge through practical sector experience.

Hands-On Finance Education Through BISTLAB

Set up in ÇAKÜ's Department of Banking and Finance with support from Borsa İstanbul, BISTLAB will enable students to put their theoretical finance knowledge into practice through real market applications. Through the data and simulation tools available at the laboratory, the University aims to strengthen students’ knowledge and professional skills in the capital markets.

Financial Literacy Project

The meeting also addressed the Financial Literacy Project, which is planned to be launched at ÇAKÜ. The project aims to raise awareness of saving, investment, and financial markets, - starting with university students and eventually reaching wider segments of society.

The meeting is expected to open the door to further cooperation in education, hands-on training, and financial literacy, bringing together Borsa İstanbul's industry expertise with ÇAKÜ's academic experience.
